2 goals for FabregasBefore the season started it was said that Arsenal were too lightweight to be a force this season and that Arsene Wenger hadnt spent enough on new signings. Well after the 6-1 thumping of Everton, certain people might want to rethink their comments !

Goals from Denilson, new signing Vermaelen and William Gallas meant the game was all over as a contest by half time, two more from Cesc Fabregas and another from Eduardo before Louis Saha got a very late consolation gave David Moyes’ Everton a horrible home start to the season. On the bright side, things can only get better for Everton, or at least Moyes is hoping so !

I wonder if this was a cunning plan by David Moyes to put Manchester City off Jolean Lescott ??

In the days other games, Aston Villa drew a blank, going down 2-0 at home to Wigan. Moneybags Manchester City beat Blackburn 2-0 with ‘home grown’ Steven Ireland getting the second.
Its a cross, no its a goalChelsea grabbed a late winner at home to a plucky Hull side that had taken a surprise lead. Didier Drogba grabbed both goals for Chelsea even though the winner was probably a cross !
Portsmouth dont look happy this season and went down 1-0 at home to Fulham, while Sunderland grabbed a 1-0 win away at Bolton.
Newcomers Wolves and Burnley were welcomed to the Premier League by West Ham and stoke and both went down 2-0

The other 2 of the ‘big 4′ are in action later so it remains to be seen if they can match the gunners great start

Odds on Sir Alex having a moan anyone ?
